What is ISTSE Online Exam?

A scholarship olympiad designed to test understanding, not memorisation.

ISTSE Online Exam is an international-level scholarship olympiad for students of Classes 1 to 10. It assesses a student’s overall intellectual potential through questions in Mental & Logical Ability, Mathematics, Science and English.

Unlike routine school tests, ISTSE focuses on application, reasoning and thought-provoking questions that help students understand their strengths, weaknesses and readiness for competitive exams.

Online ISTSE is meant for parents and students who want to register directly without going through a school.

Classes 1 to 10

Students studying in Classes 1 to 10 can participate in the online scholarship olympiad.

Direct registration

Parents or students can register directly. School registration is not required for online exam.

Exam from home

The student appears for the final exam from home using a suitable device and internet connection.

Class-wise dates

Classes 1–3, 4–6 and 7–10 may have separate online exam dates.

Login credentials and exam instructions are sent to the registered email and WhatsApp/mobile number.

Prepare with syllabus & mock tests

Review the syllabus and attempt mock tests to understand the exam interface before final exam day.

Appear from home

Take the final online exam on the scheduled date using a suitable camera-enabled device and internet.

Result and recognition

Top scorers may be invited for video viva/interview before final ranks and scholarships are confirmed.

Final scholarships depend on ISTSE rules, score verification and ranking criteria.

Yes. The online exam is conducted from home using a suitable camera-enabled device and stable internet connection.

No. The online exam is for individual/direct students. Schools should use the School Olympiad registration flow.

Students of Classes 1 to 10 can participate in ISTSE Online Exam.

Classes 1 to 4 have 35 questions. Classes 5 to 10 have 50 questions. The exam duration is 60 minutes.

Registered students receive mock test access before the final exam to understand the exam interface.

Scholarships are awarded to top-ranking students as per ISTSE rules. Top scorers may go through video viva/interview before final ranks are confirmed.

Use a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a working camera and stable internet. It is best to test the same device before the exam.
