About ISTSE

Indian School Talent Search Exam (ISTSE) is international level talent search examination for Indian Schools. It is an incomparable educational measurement and assessment service.

ISTSE is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment test to get the strengths and weaknesses of individual students.

ISTSE is designed to assess the overall intellectual potential of the students from class 1 to 10.

It uses conceptual; multiple-choice questions to focus on measuring how well SKILLS and CONCEPTS underlying the school syllabus have been understood by the student.

 

ISTSE is a single paper examination, open to all the students of class 1 to 10. Quetion paper will be comparising questions from Mental Ability, Mathematics, Science and English Language & Grammar.

ISTSE exam is conducted separately for direct and school kids

  •  Online for direct/individual candidates: Open to all the students of class 1 to 10. Any student can participate in ISTSE by registering online. You can participate in this test from the comfort of your home. You need a laptop or desktop with webcam and live internet connection.
  •  Paper-based only through schools: Register through your school. Ask you teacher for ISTSE exam form.

Each students will be provided with 3 mock test. Attempt provided mock tests and evaluate your preparation.

4. Final Test

Appear in Actual Online Test scheduled. Participate from the comfort of your home. You need a laptop/desktop with webcam and live internet connection.

How It Works?
(For Paper-based Exam)

Paper-based ISTSE exam is conducted through school. Students have to fill the form in the school and exam will be conducted inside-school campus during school hours.

1. Fill examimation from

Any class 1 - 10 student studying in participating school. Ask your teacher about ISTSE exam form.

2. Prepare

Go through the Syllabus and marking scheme. Prepare for exam based on described syllabus

3. Final Test

Appear in the paper based exam conducted inside school campus during school hours.

Students scoring 95 percentile and above in ISTSE are declared as Talent Scholars and receive special scholar certificates.

Students who score the highest in the ISTSE become the Talent Scholar Gold and receive special certificates and medals.

International Rank 1 - Scholarship of ₹1500/month for 12 months + Gold Medal

International Rank 2 - Scholarship of ₹1000/month for 12 months + Silver Medal

The ISTSE online is an advanced test that challenges students to apply their learning and thinking by answering stimulating questions, which are not usually asked in standard tests.

It's an Online Exam open to all class 1 to 10 students. Student have to register themselves online at istse.org.

ISTSE is committed towards the fair conduction of the examination. We are the first and only online talent exams for school kids with anti-cheating tools to prevent any malpractice during the exam. Our exam system is equipped with an advanced AI-based anti-cheating module, advanced software tools and manual monitoring to support fair conduction of the examination.

16% of marks are reserved for fair participation in the exam. The "Fair Play / Practice" scores will be calculated with AI enabled tool and manual monitoring of the participants during the exam.

An interview will be conducted for students with 95 percentile and above marks. Scholarship winners will be declared based on the performance in exam and interview.

Exam Duration: 60 minutes, No of questions: 35 questions for students from class 1 to 4, 50 questions for students from class 5 to 10

Syllabus: Question papers will be comparising of questions from Mental Ability + Logical Reasoning (9%) , Mathematics (24%), Science (24%), English Language & Grammar (12%) and Scholars Section (15%). Additionally 16% of marks is reserved for Fair Play / Practice. For detailed syllabus click HERE

Negative Marking: For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.

Online Exam Dates: 25th August 2019, Exam Fees: INR 399/-

Last Date of Registration: 15th August 2019

Each registered student will get three online mock test papers for practice. Mock tests can be tried using a smartphone, tabs or computer. But for the final exam, you will need a desktop/laptop with a web camera and live internet connection.

Paper-based Indian School Talent Search Exam (ISTSE) is a single paper exam of eighty-four (84) marks. Question papers will contain questions from Mental Ability, Mathematics, Science and English Language & Grammar.

An interview will be conducted for students with 95 percentile and above marks. Scholarship winners will be declared based on the performance in exam and interview.

Exam Duration: 60 minutes, No of questions: 35 questions for students from class 1 to 4, 50 questions for students from class 5 to 10

  • Medals to Class Toppers: Where 10 or more students from a class (including all sections) write an exam – the top three rank holders will be awarded a gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
  • Where between 5 to 9 students from a class (including all sections) write an exam – the topper awarded a gold medal.
  • In addition to above, for each section from a class, from where 25 or more students write an exam – the top three rank holders will be awarded a gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
